Can you send a generated document via a workflow after it is created?
Hello Smartsheet friends,
I have a smartsheet that I am wanting to create a 'welcome aboard letter' from the information in several cells.
I've created a document/letter by doing the generate a document feature but once it creates the document I would like for it to be sent to our new employee through a workflow. Can that be done?

Yes! You can have a workflow trigger when an attachment has been added to it (see below screenshot). The only caveat is that you'll need to have a column (Type: Contact Type) that houses the user you wish to email, so you can easily map that row to the correct user to receive the attachment.
FYI: If the user to be emailed isn't shared to the sheet, then be sure to click into "Change your permission settings" and update that to Unrestricted.
