I have rules that remind a number of people of an upcoming end date. I want to do it two WEEKDAYS/BUSINESS DAYS in advance of the due date.
The best work around I've found, is adding a "day of the week" formula field, and then making separate rules for end dates that fall on a Monday or Tuesday. Since the trigger cant be altered, I don't think this can be done with a separate path in the same rule.
Would love if I could just have one rule that could just say, send an alert when an end date is two WEEKDAYS away to remove the issue of weekends from the equation.
Thanks!

I am currently using the same workaround. Can an automation that allows for workdays get in the pipeline for future updates?
Hi Smartsheet Community,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to propose an enhancement to the automation capabilities in Smartsheet. Currently, the automation only supports calendar days for conditions, which limits its functionality for business operations that rely on business days. This enhancement would allow automations to update specific cells based on the due date being a certain number of business days away.
Proposed Enhancement:
Background: In many business scenarios, tasks and deadlines are calculated based on business days rather than calendar days. This is crucial for accurate project planning and resource allocation. The current limitation to calendar days affects the precision and usability of Smartsheet Automation for business operations.
Request: I kindly request the Smartsheet Product team to consider this enhancement. Implementing this feature will greatly improve the usability and accuracy of automations in Smartsheet, making it more suitable for business environments.
How to Support: If you believe this enhancement would be beneficial, please vote up for this idea in the Smartsheet Product Feedback and Ideas topic. The top-voted posts are reviewed monthly by the Product team, and your support can help bring this feature to life.
Thank you for your attention and support!
