I have a Project Schedule "Sheet" that has several parent and child rows. When I created a "Report" for this same sheet, I noticed that the parent/child rows are not showing on the "Report". For example, the report is not allowing me to see which rows are indented/outdented. It would be very helpful to have a way that the indent/outdent feature is made available on Reports and Dashboards. I would prefer not to use a WBS system where I am numbering all the rows such as 1, 1.1, 1.2, etc. Also, I have already tried to bold and highlight certain rows. I ask because I would like the report to show on my dashboard with a list of all the parent/child rows accordingly. Thank you!

You may have already tried this, but one way to achieve what you are after is to add a couple of 'helper' columns next to your Primary Column that return that row's Parent and Grandparent values.
Then in the Report, use the Group option to group the records/rows first by the Grandparent column, then second by the Parent column.

Within reports, when in Gantt view, would like to have the ability to see the summary of the gantt chart view (start/end dates) for all of the items within the Group. So see the parent level instead of just the children level at the top (group level).
Is this anything that has been addressed? Having the same issue with a report not pulling data from the second parent row on the sheet.

Another basic request that will never get completed - how many years Smartsheet, do you have a count down?
Currently when producing a report with the source being a schedule, the report doesn't maintain parent, child relationship. All tasks become standalone. So again not quite reflecting the schedule source in true form so provides a slights skewed view.
Requesting the ability to outdent / indent rows in a report, reflecting what may already be in a worksheet (like in a project schedule / Gantt view). All of our project dashboards have report widgets that show the schedule and it would look more visually appealing if the child rows were indented in the widget as on the worksheet.
Has anyone created a work-around for this yet? Would love to see some examples!
I have run into this same issue. Reporting is such an important part of what we present to our senior leaders (also our budget decision makers), so it is vital that reporting shows the parent/children relationship.
Hi, I had the same issue and I just decided to do conditional formatting accorting to row hierarchy. Now everybody know that dark blue is plan level, dark grey is a deliverable of the plan, mid-grey is a sub-deliverable and white is to dos. So even if there is no indent, we can follow. The only thing is, as there is no option to show parent lines like in the sheet filter, you need to create a formula to link childs to parents row in the report. Hope this helps
This has been requested since at least 2016. Available workarounds don't yield a polished look. Please make this work out of the box with no hacky helper columns necessary.
The ability to indent rows on reports would be huge!!! Especially with the ability to print that way!!
