Send an e-mail when a box is checked?

Hello --

Very new user here. I have a general technology knowledge, however, I'm having a logistical brain fog at the moment.

Could I use an IF THEN statement to send an e-mail notification when a Box is checked?

You could use an automated workflow with an alert that triggers when the checkbox is checked.

Make sense?

I saw in a previous post that we couldn't trigger a workflow for a specific cell. Is this an option now?

Yes, you can trigger it for a specific cell with the help of a helper column or something similar.
