Record the time an event occurred without needing to manually look at cell history. Need to be able to calculate the delta between when action A and Action B were so would like the option in automation to not just record a date but also the time.

Thanks for your comment, a very crafty solution indeed that I am sure will work very well for a lot of users. I had thought of this as well for a small requirement I have, however I'm afraid that it doesn't scale very well to larger requirements. Our main requirement is to record the timings of 40+ columns in a sheet with 300+ columns already containing 20+ references to other sheets. If Smartsheet allowed a sub selection of columns to be copied instead of the whole row then this could work initially but with a whole row I will be maintaining countless extra sheets just for this purpose.

As my line is in cleaning job it is required to have the accurate time capturing prior and end of the activity. If this will add in the feature of Smartsheet that will much be appreciated.

This is urgent for me, I am using smartsheet for a few months and this is evolving really good, but this function is mandatory for my projects, like sharepoint lists has with NOW() default value

When a condition is met place local time into a cell.
For example, when a checkbox is checked place the time into the cell next to it. I'm trying to make a sign-out based off a check box update that is emailed to the individual.
