Alerts for Teams Channel not working from template

Hello,

I have an automation step set up to alert a Teams channel when a specific action happens. It works fine until I save the file as a template. Then it fails to bring over the Teams channel info so naturally won't fire when it's supposed to.

I have verified that my settings are set to Unrestricted. Again, it works fine in the original file, just not the template.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi @ccurtis

For security reasons, 3rd party recipients of workflows aren't carried over when new sheets are created from a Template, as you've found.

The workflow will be automatically disabled, so you'll want to leave instructions somewhere in the sheet for the new owner to go in and select the appropriate Teams channel for the new sheet to alert.
