Create birthday calendar with reminders - no year entry

We would like to use SS to create an employee birthday calendar and set the due date as their birthday - without using the birth year (so we don't have to recreate the wheel in subsequent years). If I set the birthday (date) column, I have no option but to use the current year.

OR, once the sheet is set up, is there a way to update the sheet next year without having to re-enter all the birthdays for 2017?

Thank you!

    I would still like to know if we can set a due date without using the year, but I did figure out the formula to add one year (I just had to add a column with "1", and then write the forumla to increase the "year" in the date column by the number in the add1 column).

    Pam,

    Try this:

    =DATE(YEAR(TODAY()), 12, 10)

    This should update on Jan 1st to the new year (Dec 10th)

    Craig
