Numeric Column Type
Has anyone noticed that the alpha/numeric column doesn't sort properly when numbers are in the following format: 1.5.1.1, 1.5.11.2...........11.5.11.40. You get this:
1.5.11.1
1.5.11.10
1.5.11.11
...
1.5.11.2
1.5.11.20
1.5.11.21
.......
1.5.11.3
1.5.11.3
1.5.11.31
...
Would a purely numeric column type take care of this sort issue?

You have to include leading zeros in each decimanl place if you want this to sort properly.
So this,
1.5.11.1
1.5.11.2
Would become
1.5.11.01
1.5.11.02

The reason is that the moment you add the second Decimal it converts it to text and therefore sorts accordingly.
And yes the Numeric Column type I believe would be useful as well as Alpa numeric.
