Hi all,
I have an intake form that adds a new row to an intake sheet. I also have a template that is basically a scoring rubric. Currently, someone manually opens this template and creates a new sheet every time a new row appears in the intake sheet.
Is there a way that automation could use a template a create a new sheet automagically?

Thank you for your post! At this time, this is currently not a support functionality in Smartsheet but it is a really great idea! When you can, please submit an enhancement request on this to be considered for future development for Smartsheet!

This is an especially important need; I have been reading out this request since 2016. Are there any plans to make this happen?
I have the same issue; I will need to be able to create a new sheet from a template for each new entry from a master list of products.
The add on Control Center can automatically provision project set-ups based on an intake form entry, see: Smartsheet Control Center Overview
However there currently isn't a way to do this directly within the core Smartsheet application.

I can't believe that this hasn't been addressed. 2+ years and smartsheet hasn't listened to its customers...
I have 40+ timesheets that I create every month from templates. It certainly would be amazing if that could be added to automations that every month a new worksheet is created from a tempate...
@Genevieve P. - I'm working on a business case for Control Center, and the auto-generation of project assets is one of the components that would be a big win. One thing I'm not certain of is the extent of the automation. In reviewing all of the detailed Control Center information, I only see the project asset generation being manually triggered once the request is approved. Is this truly something that can be done completely via automation, or is it just that the set of project assets can be built as a template that will pull defined field values from the request intake sheet, but someone still has to manually initiate each time?
You can automate the initiation from the Approval column, however optional items will be skipped and it will only include required items.

I have a business case and I'd like your help to validate if Smartsheet leverages this capability.
We are setting up an intake form with a Project Type in it. After submission and approval, we'd like to automatically create project folders with templates in it specifically tied to those project types (templates and files may vary based on project type). I've seen some automations for approvals and things like that but never saw automations related to creation of folders and templates based on an intake-form specific column. Do you know if this is possible to be done in Smartsheet?
