Email attachments generated from the Create Document Workflow
I cannot figure out how to email attachments created with the create a document workflow. I have send alert on attachment and the email goes out with no attachment ( include attachments is checked in workflow). I'm getting frustrated...help!

Make sure that the Trigger is that the Attachment is added, and it should work.

I already have the attachment as the workflow trigger. I have attached screen shots of the create document workflow and the alert user workflow.

Does it send, but just not with the attachment included?
I'd be happy to take a quick look.
Can you maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s)? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)

I'm experiencing exactly the same issue: workflow generates document but the file is not getting attached to the "Alert Someone" email. Any suggestions on what the problem might be? Thank you

Hi @Andrée Starå ,
This workflow generates document and adds it to the row once the new row added (entry from the form) to the sheet.
Next workflow sends out an email with attachment. However, it will attach files that were submitted with the form but not the generated document.

No. I even tried to add an extra step/workflow by introducing helper column that is checked once attachment added to the row:
new row -> generate document, document added to the row ->helper column checked, changed row (helper column checked) -> alert someone. Still not working.

Hi @Andrée Starå ,
I found what the issue is: alert emails sent to my email address (owner of the sheet with these workflows) do not get generated file attachment, however, alerts sent to any other email address would have generated file attached to them. I can't explain why.
When I was testing my workflows I've temporarily set it all up so only I was getting alerts and, therefore, I was not receiving generated files with alerts.

This could be the reason.
Ensure that you've checked the Sheet Change Notification Settings box to Include my changes in sheet notifications in your Personal Settings (circle/profile in the lower-left corner).

I am experiencing the same issue, even with the Include my changes in sheet notifications box checked. If I use a different email address, I receive the attachment. If I use my own email -- no attachment.
