Not being able to change the FROM e-mail address on notifications has restricted the usefulness of Smartsheets to the point that we are looking for alternative spreadsheet applications. Each of our project managers has a workspace, and it only makes sense that notifications be sent under their e-mail address, not the sheet owner's e-mail address.

This was rolled out to EAP users and is a great first step to fixing the issue of having a sheet owner's name removed from a notification. Thank you so much for that. Can one more option be added to the drop down to allow us to designate a specific department in our company and not just have it be from the organization itself? Example: "Send from" and then allow us to specify a department name for example?

please consider to develop Smartsheet to have notification option for owner to exclude the sheet owner's name appear as the sender when an alert triggered by the changes of multiple users ; it should be user name as sender who triggered the alert for each change.
The function is much helpful for almost licensed user who setup automation flow.
it is acceptable to take more time for smartsheet generate email notifications separately for each change if choose the option.

Better contact management and email interface could go A long way, including the ability to send emails from your company's domain.
When notifications and update requests are sent out via Smartsheet, we'd like the ability to alter the "From" Name/Reply To email address being used to use a Department email address.

From what I understand, this is PHASE 1 of the "customize from name" functionality. This implies the existence of a PHASE 2, where we will hopefully get that full customization that we're looking for. Certainly enough people have commented on what this functionality should entail

Everything we request is coming soon. The only thing they aren't late on is billing me. Which, I'm having a hard time paying right now since I have had to export most of my work to excel anyway - then import it back - just to match the formatting.
And, why is it so hard to use this for tracking employee hours -- forget subtracting meal times or other "off the clock" items. The formulas that have to be created are a nightmare.
