How to Add an Interactive Map to Your Smartsheet Dashboard

The Challenge

One of my Smartsheet consulting clients recently asked how we might be able to accomplish this.

They have projects at multiple locations across the US and wanted to see them on an overall dashboard.

The requirements:

Display all locations on a single map and dashboard
Link those locations on the map to their individual project sheets in Smartsheet
Display custom information on the map related to the locations

The Considerations

Solution must be inexpensive.

Solution does not need to auto update locations since locations do not change often

Must be easy to implement. No javascript/coding.

The Solution

Pull all current project addresses into a single report/sheet.
Upload to Google Sheets.
Import into MyMaps.Google.com
Share map and embed on Dashboard.

Stumbled across this and love it. Wondering if Data Shuttle could work to automatically output the Smartsheet data into a Google Sheet to seamlessly update the map on the Dashboard. I'm new to Data Shuttle and will need to identify a suitable Google Account to leverage so I'm not creating with my personal account.

I created one for the client (they are free) so my face wouldn't show up on their maps. :)

DataShuttle is a good idea to update the sheet, but the breakdown is in the google maps app. It doesn't autoupdate from the updated sheet.
