Automation of attachments as PDFs

Idea: An automated workflow that allows attachments to be sent in PDF form instead of clicking on a link to download. For example, once a receipt has been attached to a row, I could create a workflow that allows for the receipt to be forwarded to my supervisor as a PDF document.
