How to capture the Name of the person who changes the column value?

Hi all,

I'm trying to to capture the name of the person who does the final change in a material release in a process. Please see attached. The goal is to have the name of the person who clicks release (which is the final progress status).

Do I need a formula for this?

I used created by option in the sheet. Not sure if modified by will be an option as there will be multiple people changing the progress as it moves forward.

Hi all,
I hope you're well and safe!
I've developed a solution that lets you store the date or value.
You'd use the copy-row automation and a VLOOKUP or combination of INDEX/MATCH to make it work.
We'd trigger the copy-row to another sheet and get the created date/other value and then use the VLOOKUP/INDEX/MATCH to get it back to the main sheet in another so-called helper column. As long as you have a unique id/value that we can use, it will work.
Also, this opens up more options with auto-numbering and similar.
Depending on other workflows, you could reuse one sheet for multiple workflows.

I followed your approach but the workflow is changing the last modified by to a auto-generated value and I no longer see who modified the record last? Any suggestion?
