More about Arsineh:

Back in May I shared my love of travel with you. More recently I had a chance to visit beautiful Lake Como, Italy and Switzerland. (Both pictured here.)

But as I reflect back on 2024 my favorite moments and highlights from the year have been seeing my girls reach their goals. This year, my daughter learned to read and won her first karate tournament. It took a lot of practice and perseverance but she did it and I couldn’t be prouder.

Hi @skipper23,

If they have a Community account, they'll receive a notification in Community, and via email as soon as we publish the newsletter each month. That would be the easiest way to keep up with our updates. 😄

Hi, it is all nice but as brand new client with a team behind we are quite surprised with the lack of some basic functionalities (grid, merging cells, more than 1 filter and on….) that have been reported for years. And it is hard to understand where these requests stand in your queue for years….the workaround offered are really not solutions and it is all nice to dev some AI functions etc…but when the basics (at least for some of us) are not covered it is creating some internal frustrations. So, why can't we have clear visibility on basic functions requests and what is the - honest- status?

I agree with Rotisol. We use Smartsheet for business, not for social media. The newsletters are nice and upbeat, but seem to be all personal. It would be nice to see information, and have it easier to find in general, regarding updates to the software, past and future.

There seem to be many changes implemented with no announcement or way to find out without going and digging for it when we experience problems. I would really like to see a list of changes implemented -at the time they're implemented- so we know what changes to expect, and to know what upcoming changes will be implemented to share this info with our company users. The changes might impact the way we use the software for our business purposes, whether it's to deal with changes that impact us poorly (like the messed up sign on process) or new improved things we can start using if we knew they existed.

You can see what's requested by users and how it ranks and vote for it. And occasionally I see ideas going into implementation.

Another great opportunity is to visit Engage (Seattle or London) where you can talk directly to Smartsheet experts.

Thanks @Stefan, I just found the product release news when I was searching around the other day so I signed up for it. And I have voted and submitted ideas for improvements too. What I've been missing is what updates are being implemented when we get those notifications at the top of the screen while working in Smartsheet (which sometimes also shuts down my file while I'm working). It would be great to know real-time what's changing so I know to anticipate software behavior changes or new functionality I may want to use right away, and so I can notify my team about these changes.

Thanks @Stefan, I just signed up for that release newsletter; I already submitted to your Product Ideas queue but again our frustration is about the basics that don't seem to be covered and we are not the only ones thinking this way. I don't understand why -for instance- having the possibility to put a grid needs to be put to vote when so many have been requesting it for years and it is something -again- basic. I am speaking with our account managers all of these basic things are not in your dev roadmap…so it is disappointing. We will learn the more fancy and advanced tools as we go but I was sold on the idea that it was "Excel" but much better and was hoping that the basic functions were part of Smartsheet. It is not.

Thank you for your feedback, we'll take it into account to share more of the information the Community members want to see.

Our Community Corner newsletter usually has a section with updates on the status of "Ideas & Feature requests." You can see the most recent ones on our November edition. Now that end of year season has passed, we'll continue sharing more updates as they become available.
