Smartsheet has been working on this for some time, and when I talked with them I gained a much better understanding of the complexity of providing us a solution to what seems to be a simple request. If the end solution looks like anything close to what we discussed, I expect folks will like it a lot.
Unfortunately timelines are not shared (understandbly so), so we need to continue to be patient. This feature request is specifically for Smartsheet dashboards. If you want to support this, you can Vote Up on the very first page of this forum, please go add your support. π

Yea from a technical perspective this is a challenging feature to implement, and it's something that I've been playing around with adding into SSFeatures. But I'm hesitant to work on it if the Smartsheet team is actively working on this feature.
There are so many widgets, with lots of different customization options, and each of those would need to be explicitly rendered properly while sending out the email. Definitely a lot of work!

Thanks for the interest on this thread. I can assure you Smartsheet is indeed working on this capability, I had another working session with them a couple of weeks ago. As with all new features, there is no published timeline for it but it is being actively worked. It seems like such a simple request, but as we delved deeper into needs and use cases, this becomes quite a complex challenge. I do think Barak and his Team are going in the right direction and the solution will be a great one. I would suggest you keep monitoring this thread, I know Barak follows it as well so rest assured the right person will see your post.
