Graphing Non-Numeric values
I would love to be able to graph non-numeric values. We recently sent a survey to our staff where many answers were selected from a list of dropdown options. In order to clearly display the results I was looking to create pie charts showing the responses to individual questions and was unable to do so without creating a sheet summary counting all the values for each individual question.
Re: Introduce yourself & get to know your peers!
Hello, I am Joel Smith and I am our department's Smartsheet knowledge-base and Smartsheet Usergroup Leader at the largest Medical School in the United States. I am the Jack of All Trades (Jacobus Omnium Artium) in my Department but my official title is Curriculum Data Coordinator. I've created sheets/workflows/processes for just about every team in my department. One of my proudest achievements is contributing to our student newsletter by creating an "Editorial Calendar" out of Smartsheet for the Communications team as well collecting data from the submissions that we get for our newsletter.
My outside of work existence is that of "Band Dad". I have three kids in Marching Band this year. I am a member of the Band Booster Board as their Microsoft Systems Administrator. Unfortunately, as a Non-Profit, the board can't afford any Smartsheet licenses.
Re: Dark Mode for Desktop App
Yes please please! Everything dark mode always as far as I'm concerned :)
Re: Dark Mode for Desktop App
Dark mode for desktop and browser would be great. Love the desktop app, would be perfect with a dark mode feature.
Re: Dark Mode for Desktop App
3rd party Chrome Extension "Dark Reader" used to work to resolve this issue. However it stopped working recently. It disables us to refresh pages when Dark mode is on. 😫 So please have this capability for our users. thank you.

Access & Work Off-line within Smartsheet (Sheet level)
Enhancement Request: Access Smartsheet off-line and allow work to be saved for upload at a later time or once online access is available.
The most common use case is travel (i.e. airplane, passenger in automobile). However, there are scenarios where internet service is compromised (i.e. warehouse buildout, remote areas with bad service, temporary outages, etc.) where this applies.
Need to be able to update meeting minutes, take notes/brainstorm, update financials, update project tasks/schedules while not being connected.

Re: February Question of the Month - Join the conversation and receive a badge
There were so many things I wanted to do when I was a kid. Some of them I have done and found it wasn't for me. Other things I have done and found they are better for me as a hobby. And then yet other things were great for a time but I have since moved on from. Now I get to express my inner nerd and build Smartsheet solutions full time, my tree service keeps me moving, and my small engine repair keeps me tinkering.

Growing up with sci-fi novels and tv shows, always wanted to work in the space industry. Today, I'm in business development in the Aussie Ag- an Food-tech sector. Reckon we'll see 'Space Farmer' as a job ad in our lifetime.

An astronomer, until I realized it involved more than looking at the sky through a telescope!

I always thought I wanted to work with kids when I was younger. Be it as a teacher, pediatrician, or what have you. Took me until after I graduated from college to realize that my true nerdy love was numbers and organization. By chance, I managed to snag a position in Accounting where I was at the time and my mentor was more than happy to teach me the "secret Excel things". I was hooked! Now, after many decades, I still work in Accounting and I love it! My days are filled with figuring out the difficult problems ("Why is my balance off by a penny?!) and continuing to build my skills as I share my knowledge with others. I guess that means I'm still a teacher. Either way, my nerd heart is happy! ❤️
