Dynamic Report Scope in Control Center no automatic?

Hello all. I am attempting to make use of Dynamic Report Scope in Control Center.

I was hoping that each new added project would add defined sheet scope to reports automatically without user intervention. Is this what was intended? I find that upon creating a new project, there is a "Update Reporting" button on the completion screen that needs to be pressed to actually add the sheets defined in the Dynamic Report Scope screen to reports.

Am I doing something wrong, or it this working as designed?
