Edit In PowerBI or Self Trigger Update Request?
I've used Smartsheet for four years and pride myself on being able to make Smartsheet do as much as as I can get out of it... and I've hit a point I can't figure out myself! Help!
I am displaying basic project info in PowerBI with a nice button to add new data to the dataset. BUT ... we want/need a self-trigger update request capability on the dashboard. I figured out how to do in Tableau (creating an action tying to the RowID) but haven't been able to figure out in BI.
I have other use cases which could benefit from an automation which would give a project manager a multi-use update request option. These are important to me as my organization is not Enterprise yet . . . so we need to be friendly to those without Smartsheet accounts. It's really trying to figure out how to make things work on that end. Has anyone figured out a "magic" way to direct non-licensed users to their row of data to update at the frequency they desire?
