Fever Chart and CCPM
Hi guys!
I have a need to control a complex project using Fever Chart on Smartsheet. In my past job I've worked with Project + ProChain addon, and it was a great experience.
Now I have no access with Prochain addon, but for my surprise, I see that there is something that works on Smartsheet, but I cannot access... Can anyone help me?
See those links:
- Smartsheet template in XLS, to create a fever chart. But when I click on the green button below, nothing happens! (link from this official community!)
- Article written by Philip Marris, but without instruction about how implement on Smartsheet. It is like about theory and not practice.

Smartsheet does not support a chart that would look like that exactly, but we might be able to get a pretty close replica.
Are you able to explain more how the red, yellow, and green sections are calculated and if there would be any other data represented on the chart?

@Paul Newcome The Green, Yellow, Red colors are nothing more than a background image representing zones for visual feedback. The data is either point data or line/path data with Labels. If you could allow a background image in a chart, it would be pretty easy to create a Fever Chart. This would be extremely useful as it is a great chart to use to convey what is important to focus senior management on and what not to. Different people may want the Green/Yellow/Red to look different depending on their situation.

You can set another "line" across the data points that would represent (for example) the green section, fill that series, then use the actual data point line.
It may not be an EXACT match, but I'd say its pretty close. May want to tweak colors a little bit, but overall I would say it works.

@Paul Newcome So how did you do that? Looks to be stacked line charts with and without fill.
-
That's pretty much it. You have a column for each color with the appropriate numbers in there as well as a column for the "Actual". Then you would create a line chart from the sheet using all of those columns. The RYG series would get "filled" when setting up the widget.

@Paul Newcome While not the best solution, it likely will work. Better is Smartsheet bakes a solution in.
