Creating Filters on Sheets within WorkApps

Hello,

My team needs to be able to filter their assignments. I've currently got them set up to do all of their work in a WorkApp to keep it simple. However, we are not seeing the ability to filter. I've given each of them Admin access to assure that is not the issue. Additionally, I tried creating the sheet as a weblink, but I got an error stating "This domain has been restricted by your account. Please reach out to a System Admin on your account for further assistance." They directed me here. Any guidance or support would be appreciated.

You should be able to create a filter in a sheet for personal use, even if you only have Viewer Permissions in that Workapp:

Would you be able to post a screen capture of what you're seeing in your Workapp (but block out sensitive data)?

For your second image, this is because you're adding the Sheet as a Web Content Widget instead of a Smartsheet item. If you're doing it that way, you'll need to publish the sheet first (see here).

That said, I'm unsure why the filter is greyed out in the Sheet in your scenario. What I would suggest doing here is edit the sheet directly in Smartsheet to add multiple shared filters. Then you should see them all as options in the Workapp to choose from. Let me know if that works for you!

Should we be able to filter a sheet when accessed via WorkApp? I would love for that to work but it doesn't seem to. Do you know how to make it work?
