Request an Approval now has the sheet link, why?
Does anyone know how to remove the sheet link option at the bottom of the approval workflow?
When was this added, and why? This workflow should be treated the same as the Request an update, where it doesn't give the option to the approver to access the sheet.
OR
If approvers need more information than what would comfortably fit in the approval screen, give us the option to include the sheet link.

Hi @Estelle Redding
Isn't the link shown because the sheet has been shared to Approver?
When I made someone who has not had the sheet shared as an approver, the link to the sheet was not shown.
People whose sheets are shared can access the sheets according to their permissions, regardless of whether the link is shown in the approval request or not.

To clarify, even though the link is in the email, if the person receiving the email is not shared to the sheet then they will not be able to access the sheet.
Here's the Release Note post on the update to Approval Request emails, and the Community Announcement post.
There's also a Product Idea around removing the sheet link that you can vote on and add a comment for the Product Team to review: Option to Not Include Sheet Link on Notifications
Cheers,
Genevieve

Well, that certainly clarifies things. I take back my diatribe! Thanks.
