Smartsheet document generation makes me look like a mad scientist, and I am so thankful for this option!!! I have successfully mapped just three documents, but I only planned to map two. The first two documents were anticipated and served as the landing point for the data being captured on the form. When completed, I learned of another miscellaneous form, that was manually being created in Excel using the same data being collected on the Smartsheet. This document proved challenging because I needed a function/formula to create days of the week and dates based on an inputted date range. In Excel, the formula worked perfectly, but didn't prove to work as a copy/paste in Smartsheet. After creating multiple columns, I was finally able to bring life to the document in Smartsheet! On to the next!!

one other feature i adore is the view history - so I know who broke my formulas. HA HA HA!!!!

Everything! If I have to choose just one, it would be the ability to create reports to pull together data from several sheets and then slice and dice that data in many ways.

This is such a difficult questions, they are so many features I am so thankful for!

I decided to focus on the one feature, which I never looked at utilising - since we had a new starter in the Team, I decided to investigate, see if this could help with the training process.

    • Proofing - has certainly helped a lot and now is part of my fav features, and most useful!

It saves times, I can follow-up easily and there is a record left.

With the training program I have put in place, this also allow:

    • a review of the new starter progress
    • allow the new starter to revert to the notes/feedback
    • allow anyone who might jump in the Training Program, to be able to pick up where it was left (a little like handover notes...)

This is why, I have chosen Proofs to be features I am so thankful for.

Thankful for Help & Learning. As one of the few SMEs and advocates of Smartsheet in my organizations, it's great to be able to point new users to Help & Learning as they begin their own journey in Smartsheet.

The simple (but ultra sophistication) and elegance of the three basic artifacts: sheets, reports and dashboards. And that between only these three elements you can capture, organise and report on ANYTHING!

Using Manage References and INDEX(MATCH) formulas has enabled our team to make a complex network of projects that update each other automatically while keeping input requirements and outputs for our SMEs simple.

Document Builder! Having the ability to automatically generate consistent documents is a life-saver. Our clients enjoy having consistent data and this feature puts us ahead of our competition and saves our team members so much time on a daily basis.

so many features are great in SS but my preference goes to the reports, allowing to combine multiple sheets and making some kind of pivots

I successfully navigated the daunting process of building a dashboard by seamlessly integrating data from SmartSheets and other in-house datasets into Power BI, which was then embedded into a PowerApp and seamlessly integrated into SharePoint, providing users with easy access to a diverse range of comprehensive dashboards.

A very proud moment to concept out and I am grateful that SmartSheet allows those connections!

I'm thankful for a platform that updates in real-time that a large team can use relatively seamlessly!

I would have to go with the real time reporting capabilities that negate so much old data being used for decision makers.

All of the features are great and each have their own perks that I can rant and rave about for days, but if I had to pick just one single thing, I would have to say formulas. With some creativity (and some trial and error), you can use formulas to make a lot of magic happen.
