Datamesh has to be my favorite feature. I manage a bunch of projects involving multiple sheets, and being able to replicate the data and keep it up to date without having to create a ton of inter-sheet references is a life saver! Thank you Smartsheet team for all you do!

The function of Automated workflows/notifications has been a game changer for me. Despite being a novice user, I was able to architect a solution on the fly to alleviate my self and others from having to curate/forward email situation reports that need timely dissemination both internal to my company and our client.
Summary of what I was able to implement using automated workflows:
My company has several employees deployed to countries neighboring current conflicts zones. To ensure timely reporting of their safety and security, I created a country specific sheet, with accompanying form (Situation Report) that includes the key points that our team may need to report. Those inputs include "All secure, nothing to report"; All secure, additional details below"; "Ordered evacuation anticipated"; etc. Upon submission of the simple form, the data is captured on the sheet, and I receive the sitrep on my Smartsheet app and email. Once I review and approve for dissemination, Smartsheet pushes the sitrep to a curated list of contacts that are internal to the company and our client stakeholders. Further, this process enables the receivers to acknowledge receipt of the latest sitrep. This sheet feeds a country specific dashboard that includes links to regional specific details, contacts and displays the full log of sitreps.
The minor investment of effort to create the above described function, has saved me from having to be tethered to my email pushing updates to a variety of audiences as they are received.

Being able to share to internal and external non-licensed users was a success and gave everyone the ability, customer and employees, to have access to any sheet needed. Publishing to embed into MS Teams has had a similar impact on the ability to share information across multiple platforms without doing any additional work.

I use index match in almost every sheet I have. I am able to sync data from all over using this method, and significantly improve users ability to complete tasks.
I also really appreciate the new TIME function. Awesome question of the month 😊

Automations! They save so much time, help with workflows, and the notifications keep me on top of what needs my attention.

Workflow automations and Dashboards. We've been been able to vastly improve collaboration and data accuracy with workflows while saving our developers and testers time. Our Dashboards have allowed us to shift from status and metric presentations via Powerpoint to real time data and analysis at the fingertips of everyone, from engineers to executives all having a single source of truth. These are both gamechangers for us!

So many things, but I'm currently finding the most value in dashboards. Being able to share information in a meaningful way with folks who aren't actively using Smartsheet every day has proven very valuable.

Form and form automation is the best! Such a help to me. Now I just have to learn some of the other fun features that will make some of my processes so much better.

Automations! The ability to create notifications, approval workflows, and update cell is critical to a good solution. Eliminating data entry by automatically updating dropdowns and recording dates saves time and creates a great user experience.

Being a Lean evangelist within and across my organization, having the ability to implement Visual Management with Dashboards and Report is invaluable. We leverage the dashboard during our weekly meeting to quickly go through the update, highlight the key accomplishments and dig into anything that is "red" either because delayed or at risk.
Reporting metrics and color coding reduce the time to understand the overall status. With the widget clickthrough allows to get into the details if needed and with the published version, we can share the dashboard and linked reports to a bigger audience, without risking accidental edits.

I'm grateful for Control Center. It allows us to provision a powerful toolset to so many people, and then keep them current with the latest and greatest functionality.

Both forms and automation let me and my team focus on the work and leave the "processing" behind. I'm grateful for anything that gives us more time to provide value to our customers!

Soooo thankful for Dynamic View! We use it for goal management related to our department’s FY goal planning.
I create a master goal sheet and then set up a DV so team members can add new rows via the DV. At the beginning of our FY, each responsible person uses the DV to submit 1-5 goals to our master plan that they’ll be responsible for completing. Because it’s set up as a DV, everyone can bookmark one page and have a customized view of only the goals assigned to them. It’s also great because team members can enter in progress updates on their goals without us having to grant everyone Editor access to the sheet… and then, we can periodically publish the master sheet so everyone participating can see the big picture they’re contributing to! So cool. So helpful!

I love the Dashboards, Automation, and Forms. These features help me streamline my day-to-day activities which drive efficiency. and work smarter.

Copy / move row automation, a simple enough premise but when used correctly can effectively transform a smartsheet into a fully autonomous system. Literally underpins a massive chunk of our data collation and management systems and allows us to deliver continuous reporting without any involvement.
