Global Update - Restrict to Dates Column Modifications

Hi, I want to use a global update to change the column type on a blueprint to dates only. It is already set to dates but I cannot figure out how to make it restricted to dates only. People are using free-form text in this column and I need to eliminate that.

How can I globally update that sheet across my blueprint-created projects?

I don't think you can. For columns that are symbol type, there is a checkbox when making a global update that says "restrict to symbols" but if the column type is changed to date the checkbox disappears. This makes me believe it is not an option.

@Marina Garrison is correct, there is currently no option in a Global Update to check a box and restrict column types to be restricted to dates only - please submit your feature request to the Product team by creating an Idea Post in the Smartsheet Product Feedback and Ideas topic here in the Community. This will allow other users to vote on your enhancement idea.
