PowerBI and Regions

Hi

I went to login to Smartsheet for PowerBI and just like with other integrations, regions does not seem to be available. I might be missing something but the login does not give options for EU.

Is there a reason why EU is not being supported as well? there are really good reasons for my clients to be on servers in Germany and yet anything I try to do is hampered.

It would be good to understand why there is a lag. The outlook plugs don't work with Regions either.

    I believe this is something that they will be looking to add support for, but I also know my old employer did not want to switch because they wanted all of the data to remain on an EU region for GDPR considerations.

    Hi @Purnima Gore_PGPS,

    I had the same issue when I set up our Smartsheet account and had to speak with the company who helped set us up to get switched from the EU region to the default region as there was no defined roadmap including timeframes to get the EU region supported within Power BI.

  • How disappointing.

    It does seem as though Smartsheet as an organisation think those that are using regions are not important enough to have the same features.

    The client has specific reasons for wanting EU and so they will not change.
