Hello, I am creating an item request/reservation form for check out/in of a limited number of headsets, 6 items. I am trying to determine a way for the sheet automation to look at the date a headset is requested and send a confirmation if that date is available for one or a denial if all six are already reserved for that date.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I would make a second sheet that has the confirmed reservation rows.

Then your original request sheet has a column that looks up the confirmed rows to count how many confirmed requests there are for this date and if there is enough, it moves the row to the confirmed reservation sheet.
