Approval flow status - need help
Hello, I am in the process of creating a sheet (two separate forms depending on requesting line of business). My team handles one operation while my peer handles another. I have the automation when forms for specific lines of business it will send our respective teams an update will be sent via email. I also have a hidden box within the form of who the approvers are for said forms so it fills in on the sheet. Is there a way to get a formula or automation to autofill who is approving said request when they adjust the status? I created the 'request fulfilled by' column to hopefully track who approved of the request, I already tried 'modified by' but continues to be automation@smartsheet.com since automations are active.

If I understand you correctly, you're trying to get the email address of the actual approver to be auto populated. Smartsheet doesn't have this feature yet. The only way you will be able to find out will be through the cell history option in the Approval column.

@Andrée Starå @AravindGP Sorry I should have specified, I want it to essentially auto-fill the 'who fulfilled the request' column based on who adjusts the status to approved or denied (whether that is in the sheet or via the email our teams get). Our teams are fairly small, there are three of us on my team and two people on my peer's team that could potentially do the requests. I thought having a contacts column with a column formula or automation would be a easy fix to my concern but I don't know how to do it. There is an automated email that goes out to the requestor to let them know their requests status so I would like to include the 'approvers name or email' in case they need to follow up.
