It would be great to be able to have notes or a text box area on a sheet to put information that the team may need to see or know about it without having to attach the comment to a field on the sheet or making a dashboard.
If a text field could be added where the calendars are or a new widget that would be great.

Hello!
I would like to completely disengage from onenote into smartsheet however, smartsheet doesnt have a note taking sheet option.
Can we look into adding this?
Thank you,

Use case: Sometimes when I'm tracking a particular work item for a project I want to be able to add notes to a particular task (rather than updating the status or adding a comment).
Wrike offers this ability and its really helpful. Each task can be double-clicked and it opens a description where the project manager can add task specific notes, thoughts, or attachments. These are internal notes for the project manager, not conversations. It's a very a clean-UI and helpful.
Currently, I'm using a workaround by using the comment section/or adding a comment (not great).
add a notepad to each line in column 1 same as attach, comment, proof and reminder.
This would allow to keep notes on project like a check list of materials and what to order maybe phone numbers and contacts maybe meeting notes.
Desperately need this!!
100% agree with this! The Summary Sheet is great for quick access to key data, without having to go into specific rows / row conversations.
However it would be great to have a notes section accessible on the right panel that can be accessed like the Summary Sheet, but it purely for notes - rather than having to create fields for each piece of information.
In addition to this, if we had the ability to format text (bold, colour.. etc) in the notes section and in conversations it would make everything much more accessible.
