Attach an existing Dynamic View to a sheet programmatically
I know there is no API for Dynamic Views yet, but I'm looking into building some automation for a client and wonder if there is a way to programmatically assign an existing Dynamic View to a new sheet.
It doesn't look like when you copy a sheet and create a new one via API, the Dynamic View associated with that original sheet gets copied as well, correct?
Thanks,
Fabio.

A Dynamic View (and any copies) can never change the source sheet. There is no way to copy a View to a new sheet, and Smartsheet has indicated they're not likely to add the capability. Every new sheet needs views built from scratch.

Hi Courtney,
Thanks for the reply. It looks like many things in Smartsheet can't be fully automated. We wanted the same Dynamic View attached to a sheet once it's saved/published, but it sounds like this has to be a manual process every time. This is not what we were expecting.
Thanks,
Fabio.
