We have an automation that triggers when any field is added or changed and sends updates. However, we have a field that calculates the aging of each line item. We would like to exclude this single field from the trigger. Currently, our only option is to select all of the columns you DO want to be included, but not ones to exclude.
I hope you're well and safe!
As a possible workaround, add a helper column that joins everything except that cell and then change it so that if that column changes, it triggers the workflow.
Make sense?
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic weekend!

@Andrée Starå, I had the same idea of a helper column, but I also thought about using the sheet summary for the aging information as that wouldn't trigger the automation, either.
The problem with the aging on the Sheet Summary would be that it needs to be per row.

I currently created an automation added all columns except the aging columns to the trigger criteria. It would just be more efficient to choose "Any field" except "XYZ field".
