Notification Center acting funny, anyone else?

My company recently added Mimecase for our spam filter and, after working through the notifications not sending and getting that fixed- I found my alerts are not clearing when I open the automated emails I'm cc'd on. Previously, the alerts noted in the Notification Center cleared automatically when I opened the same notification emails. Is anyone else seeing this kind of change? I worked with my IT group and they think it's Smartsheet…. Hoping someone else had this happen and got it resolved! 😃

    We use Mimecast as well, and to be completely transparent with you, I did not know that the automation notification within Smartsheet itself could auto-clear when the email was opened! To me, they have always been 2 separate notifications to manage.

    This means I expect that due to the email protection you have, there is no way for the email message to speak back to the Notification Center in the app to clear out that notification - you'll need to do that manually.

    Hi All- we thought we had the notification issue figured out, but now I get NO notifications via email or notification center. Anyone else having issues? My IT team have been working with Mimecast to open up all communications, but they aren't seeing anything blocked.

    Let me know if I'm not alone in this! :)

    Notifications are currently running within Smartsheet and in eMails:

    Can you clarify which ones you're not receiving? Is it possible that your personal settings have been updated (for example, restricting notifications if you're the person who made the change)

    I'm not receiving ANY notifications in email or Alerts. Status shows All Systems Operational, and lastly they are all my notifications, where I am also a recipient. As the sheet owner, no one else has access to changing my workflows/notifications.

    It was taking about an hour to receive notifications a few days ago, now…. nothing.

    Can you double check your personal settings:


    and ensure that this box is checked:

    If this is correctly checked, then the next thing to look at is to test one specific workflow in order to troubleshoot.

    • Clone a workflow to see if that makes a difference
    • Copy the sheet with Save as New to see if that changes anything

    If that hasn't worked, pick one workflow that you were expecting an email from and look at the datestamp for the last time that it ran. Is that the date you expected?

    I created a clone and that worked. I'll dive deeper into my settings, for my automations. I pared it down hardcore to test it. The Notification Center alert came through, but still waiting for the email.
