Learning Dynamic View capabilities
Hi, we just got Dynamic View and I'm excited to use it.
I did the self paced course and have done some experimenting but I'd like to know more. For example, you can use it with reports? How does that work?
Does anyone have suggestions for more learning?
Thanks!

Using Dynamic View on a report works exactly the same as using it on a sheet.

The use is to hide certain columns of a report then?

It can hide certain columns of the report, plus it means they don't have to have direct access to the report or the underlying sheet(s) feeding the report.

Also if you do a Dynamic View from a report instead of a sheet, you can do advanced filtering of the data before it is exposed on the Dynamic View. From a sheet you can pick a preset filter, but sheet filters are simpler than report filters.

Yes. Using a report give users the ability to adjust their filters and sorting without having to be admin on the report. They only have access to the data within the report itself though. They can't change the base report filters. But they can filter and sort the presented data as needed.
