Duplicated Columns

Hi guys,

I'm trying to copy rows from 3 sheets to another, whenever I'm copying rows from the third sheet its duplicating one of the columns at the end even when all columns in all the sheets are in the same order.

Any suggestion to fix this?

Thanks in advance,

Yeah, so when you copy rows from one sheet to another it copies all columns in the source sheet. If those columns do not exist, it created them automatically. There is no way to avoid this.

    Workarounds include:

    • Simply hiding the unneeded column in the destination sheet.
    • Build a copy row automation using Zapier or Make.

    Hi,

I hope you're well and safe!

You could use cross-sheet formulas combined with either a VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH structure to connect the sheets, and when you update the source sheet, it will reflect on the destination sheet.
Another option would be to use so-called helper sheets. In short, copy the row to a helper sheet and then use my method described previously to get the values you need to another helper sheet and then copy/move the row from that sheet to the main destination sheet.

    Would that work/help?

    I hope that helps!

Be safe, and have a fantastic weekend!
