Good afternoon,

I would like to ask if there is the possibility to create a workflow that sends email (Action: Alert someone/Request an update/Request an approval) using emails that are in a column inside the sheet but the type of the colum is a Text and not a Contact List.

Yes, but you would have to add a so-called helper column that is contact type and then reference the other.
