Recomendations on templates for project portfolio with dashboard

Hi, I am new to smartsheets and have been tasked to build a project portfolio (list of projects for each team with status, dates, notes) and then create a dashboard view.

Can anyone recommend a template to build this quick and easy?

We did have a consultant build a solution for us years ago but it did not work properly; so smartsheets has not been used. Management would like me to see if I can figure something out at a high PMO level. We just have the basic smartsheet with out 10,000 feet or any other components.

Any advice would be appreciated :)

We used the Project Management Office template as the starting point.

Are you still using the PMO? You said you used it as the starting point? Maybe you can advise me on other template or maybe modification of PMO?
