Dynamic View with views/ edit filtered by multiple columns?
I need to filter the DV by users who are either task owner or supervisor - these are tracked in 2 separate columns. However the DV config seems to accept only one column... alternatively is there a way to combine contacts from two columns into a single multi contact column?

Yes but it can be painful and it's only possible with addons Data Mesh, Data Shuttle, or Bridge. See my article on how to build multiple-contact columns.
However, you can avoid all that if you setup a filter on the sheet that filters as OR for the two columns being Current User. Then, in Dynamic View you can "lock in" that filter.
