It would be incredibly useful to have the ability to automatically record a user in a Contact List column when a specific trigger occurs—just like how we can currently automate date recording. This feature would greatly enhance approval workflows by minimizing manual input, making the process more efficient and reducing the risk of errors.
One of the Actions you can add in an automated workflow is to Assign people. This allows you to assign a Contact to a Contact column based on your criteria - does that solve for your request?

The problem is that you have to move rows to a new sheet if you want to send all attachments in the workflow. The Created By user gets changed when this occurs. We need a way to record the User who submitted a Form and not lose it when we move the row. The same thing with Approvals, the correct way would be to record the user who approved something. Right now we're assuming the user that we sent it to would be the person who approved, but what if we send something to multiple staff, we'd want to record the name of the person who approved. Modified by can get overwritten by the last person who touched a row.
