Hi KOS,
Unfortunately, there is not a way to modify these dates once they've been set. You can do 1 of 2 options depending on your situation though.
- You can open up the Baselines, where you initially created these columns from the Gantt View, and choose "Remove". This will essentially disconnect them from your plan's Start/Finish dates and allows you to modify them. However, this option cannot be undone and any other changes to your plan's "actual" Start/Finish dates will not be reflected in these columns.
- You can open up the Baselines, where you initially created these columns from the Gantt View, and choose "Reset". This will reset your baseline dates to what you currently have in all of the Start/Finish dates in the plan.
Typically, I personally lean toward option 1 if I need to modify the dates for a particular reason. If I still need baselines for future dates though, I'll remove all of the Baseline column dates from the day I need them to stop being tracked into the future, then I'll "re-baseline" the project plan again. In this situation, my new baseline columns (Baseline Start2/Baseline Finish2) will theoretically have a 0 day variance on all rows prior to today (assuming these tasks are all completed since they're in the past), and I can continue to track my baseline dates/variances from today moving forward.
Hope this helps! If so, please rate my comment as a solution to your concern or upvote. 😊
