How many would be interested in more visual customization in sheets?

A primary use case for Smartsheet for my department currently is what we call Selection and Segmentation. Essentially we crunch a bunch of data about influencers in a particular field and match this data to the goal of a company we consult for. We then suggest a pool of candidates for the company to focus their efforts on communicating with. This is selection. Then we find these candidates' strengths and weaknesses, based on data, and suggest they are segmented within the client's CRM based on those strengths.

We bring the data and then allow the employees at the company to use their boots on the ground knowledge and personal experience to make selections, within a sheet.

I use conditional formatting to highlight relevant or interesting data, a star to indicate if an influencer is selected, etc etc. I recently started using grey text to subtly guide to eye to overlooking weak or missing data points (using hidden checkboxes and cond'l formatting).

I would love to get rid of my star next to the name an influencer to indicate they are selected and be able to use more nuance in visuals telling a story. For example if I could bold the outline of rows of selected candidates with a subtle gold shadow around the edges or something to make it visually stand out. We have an incredibly limited color pallet as well.

I know dashboards provide more options, but for a selection exercise, it has to be a sheet. Smartsheet has not given us more tools to customize sheets visually in many years. Would anyone else be interested in more options? The only other solution is to move to a more complicated platform, or create our own web based solution with flutter or something… I don't really have the hours available for that.

Great software but for collaboration and so user friendly but I really think sheets would benefit dramatically from more visual customization options.
