Automations only works after saving and refreshing
I've created a very simple automation. When my "Complete" column is checked, I want the "Status" column to update to complete.
This automation only seems to work after I manually save the file and then refresh the browser. Frankly, that's a really bad user experience. The fields should update instantaneously, and saving should be automatic. Is there a way to fix this?

In order for automations to run, the sheet has to see a saved change. Any edits that are made prior to change are seen as "in progress" and do not act as a triggering event. You can change your autosave by going to Account > Personal Settings > Settings. By setting up autosave you won't have to worry about manually saving. As far as auto-refresh, sometimes my sheet does this for me and sometimes an icon appears at the top of my sheet reminding me to refresh to see automation changes and there doesn't seem to be a setting to choose one or the other.
