How to link sheets?

Hello all,

I have a question on how I can set up a roster for my team. I want to have a sheet with "locked positions" and be able to link/connect a person to that from my roster.

This is what I'm aming for:

Column: Drivers

Row: Driver #

Driver 1
Driver 2
Driver 3

Column: Loaders

Row. Loader#

Loader 1
Loader 2

Column: Mechanic

Row: Mechanic#

Mechanic 1
Mechanic 2

I want to connect my team to one of these positions by assigning them via dropdownlist in my roster

One sheet woukd serve as what they see and one sheet is where I can choose who is going to do what.

I am not 100% sure I understand what you need to achieve as the process explanation would be easier to understand on some kind of graph but would not INDEX/MATCH function help you by automatic assigning positions to your created teams?
