This is a great suggestion.
Desperately needed. I cannot begin to count the hours I have spent manually duplicating workflows between sheets. If there are existing sheets with workflows, I cannot use the "save as new" feature… the sheets are already populated. As there is no such thing as shared workflows, if sheets use similar (if not identical) workflows, you have to update them all manually every time you make a change. This is PAINFUL.
Curious - how many votes are necessary to add an enhancement? I am surprised this has not been added yet.

I think there's a need to be able to easily copy and paste automations between sheets, or, ideally, build a set of automations that apply to all sheets inside a folder.
I want the same few, simple automations applied to every project I create. It feels like a waste of time to need to rebuild them manually 7x in a row for each project sheet.
When a sheet template is created and saved it should include associated automations. This way, simple sheet automations like notifications, column population, formulas..etc.. can be part of a template.

I need to copy automations from one sheet to another. This is time consuming because right now the only way to do this is manually recreate the automation workflow step by step.
It would be ideal if I there were a library of my own automations that I could add to. Or the ability to copy automations between sheets would be immensely helpful.
This is a drastic time suck.
Automation is a great tool, but I use almost the exact same automations for each project I have. Please add a way for me to make this easier and less time consuming! Ideas include: copy from one sheet to another, allow me to make a template to use my automation each time, allow me to duplicate it to another sheet.
I spend way to much time in creating these and there needs to be an easier way - thank you!
If You using template update automation in template it will automatically updated in in newly created sheet if you are creating same shee from earlier updated while after save as don't uncheck automation

Then SSFeatures will paste the automation workflow into this sheet.
This is by far one of the most complex features that I've implemented so far. But I think it will save people a lot of time!
