You can give a user group management permissions without giving them sys admin permissions.
Ah, ok, cool. I didn’t spot that bit! Every day is a school day. I will give our sys admin a knock and see what we can get going!
Thanks again for the pointer!
Thanks

The ability to add groups as contacts in columns would save us so much leg work. Every time we get a new hire or someone gets a promotion (in certain scenarios), they have to be manually added to several columns as contacts for our workflows to behave as designed.
For all the amazing things I can do in Smartsheet, this is a MASSIVE pain point. I need to use contact columns to make my workflows function. We have centralized admin teams that maintain and update user groups… Can I PLEASE reference those user groups in the contact drop down for a dynamic list of active users on a team vs manually adding/removing or maintaining crazy work around reference sheets to accommodate any change to team members?
I would also consider it a win if my intake form was able to reference our user library the same way direct cell entry does.
Either solution works, both would be amazing, but this limitation is a major pain point and has even derailed workflow projects when the intent is to not have direct manual oversight.
