new feature on engage conference:approval request
Hi,
I have difficulty to understand new feautre of approval request. I am a property management company and every month need to upload financial report to client web site.
Accountant create financial report, then account manager need to approve, after account manager approve, client approval, them mail room will mail out/post to web site
As I am admin for smartsheet, how can I set up approval process? both account and manager are editor but client is not shared user.
I think I will set up column in SS, date to create report. Once date is filled, then approval request will send to account manager. After that, I do not how should use approval request feature at SS.

Hi Peter,
My suggestion/example:
1. Attach the financial report in Smartsheet2. Approval rule for account manager starts when attachment is added
3. Approval rule för client triggers when AM approved the request
4. Notification is sent to the mail room when client approved the request
(To send the request to the client you need to change the settings under "Alerts & Actions Permissions")

Thanks for your quick reply. We have another platform for account manager to see those PDF (shared folder). So, we may not use "Financial report attached" as the trigger point.
Thanks for your good suggestion . I may need to think another trigger point(e..g, accountant fill in some information in the column).
By the way, This "automated alert and notification" is very good feature
