assign child rows from parent row
I have multiple parent rows each with over 30 child rows. I would like my "Responsible Party" cell in in each child row to be populated if I assign it in the parent row.
I.e. I would like to select the contact (Responsible Party)in the parent. I would then like for each child row under to automatically be assigned to the responsible party in the parent row. (having to assign each row seems a bit too long.)
Thank you for you help in advance

If you put this in the 'Responsible Party' cell for any children and whatever is in that column's 'parent' cell will appear in the children.
=PARENT()
If you drag a row with the formula from one parent to another it updates.

Except you can't put formulas into Contact List columns.
You can assign tasks in other ways, but then some of the Smartsheet functionality like Reminders will be hampered.
