Need help with a recurring report formula
Hi. I am new to Smartsheet and it has been a while since I have done alot with formulas in Excel. I am setting up a report tracker for our organization that will have recurring reports due on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly frequency. I need some help with a formula to automatically adjust the next due date so that it continually rolls to the next week, month, or quarter. I am wanting to set up alerts to be sent to the "report preparer" reminding them of the upcoming report due date and then alerts if the report goes past due. In order to set up the reminders I need the due date to automatically change each week to trigger the new weekly, monthly, or quarterly alert. I hope this makes sense. Can anyone please help me with this?

Hello,
If you have a sheet with a bunch of tasks for the week/month/quarter, you might want to check out our reporting functionality. More info on reporting is available in the help center: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/522214-creating-reports
To get yourself familiar with formulas, I'd recommend reviewing our creating formulas help article here: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2476171-create-and-edit-formulas-in-smartsheet
A formula might work for you, but you might also see if the dependencies functionality is easier. You can use this to create tasks and add dependencies with lag time so the tasks automatically adjust for you.
