Webform Email Notifications

We are using smartsheet to Nationally track data. When a webform is submitted there is a requirement to email a certain person within the company notifying them that a report has been issued and action is required. The list of different people who might have to be emailed on the report generated is very long and not all of them have access to smartsheet. I just want to be able to have a box on the webform where an email can be entered which would then notify that person with the webform information. Is this possible?

I understand notification alerts for folks that are already connected to the smart sheet but for the folks that only need to be notified that a webform has been generate for their particular area of the business but won't be required to access the smart sheet.....how can this be done?

You can configure your account- and sheet-level preferences to notify anyone with a valid email address, even if they don't have a Smartsheet account. Double-check the settings as listed in this help article: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2476586-control-who-can-receive-notifications-from-your-sheet

You might also want to set up a preferred contacts list so entrants can select contacts from a list in the form as opposed to free typing: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/504619-column-types#contactlist
