Home tab - stay open

Is there any way to keep the Home tab section open in the new interface?  It's very annoying to have to click menu, Home to see other items in the workspace I'm in and also I have a ton of workspaces, so moving around is easier for me if it stays open.

I would agree with you on a "fixed" home tab. One thing I have done that has helped, is to pin frequent tabs to my list of recent sheets. From that list you have the option of opening in a new tab. After each required open sheet is visible in the tabs in Chrome, I return the first to the home tab. 



As a second step, I change my Google Chrome settings to "Pick up where I left off". This ensures that even if Chrome is closed or my machine is shut off, my open sheets and home tab open upon launch. It takes a little effort up front, but for now, seems to help mimic the old layout.
