Search and Replace, Conditional Formatting

I have multiple columns with a variety of drop-downs on many sheets.  Conditional formatting is set to many of the columns based on the drop down selection, sometimes up to 40 statements.  The problem I'm faced with is if I change one of the drop down selections (abbreviate a selection for example)  that is currently being used in Conditional Formatting, I need to now go find them in the conditional Statements and update.  Is there any way to change this through a search and replace?  Control F just replaces what's visible on the screen.
